Fiesta Farms is located in the old mining town of Rough and Ready in the Sierra foothills of Northern California. This region, known as the area of the Northern Mines, is about 1.5 hours from Sacramento to the west and the Reno/Lake Tahoe area to the east.
Fiesta Farm's Labradors roam over nine gentle acres of Ponderosa Pines and Black Oaks. They enjoy a spectacular view of the northern snow capped Sierras as they swim and retrieve bumpers in their pond. One of their favorite pastimes is strolling through the small orchard below the house ferreting out a tasty morsel that might have dropped from one of the cherry, apple or fig trees.
I acquired my first Labrador in 1985 as a hunting companion for my husband. Mac was just the perfect dog and a wonderful introduction to the world of Labradors. He earned his Junior Hunter title and Utility obedience title.
When we retired and relocated to Fiesta Farms in 1995 Mac decided he needed a friend so a lovely black bitch named Ruffin joined our family.
My primary interest is in training for field and obedience and I also show in conformation. Ruffin is an Am. CH., Can. CH., Intl. CH., SH, UD, Can. CD, NA, NAJ, and TCI. She is a very accomplished Labrador.
I breed an occasional litter with an emphasis on the Labrador's most desireable traits. My primary goal is producing the characteristic Labrador temperament along with sound structure and hunting instinct.
